While sifting through the pile of RPGMaker games submitted to the various RPGMaker sites, one always stood out. That game is Forever Darkness, a game that was given a high status with only a one word description: FUN. So, is it? Is Forever Darkness the very essence of this word?

Among the clutter of famous RPGMaker games, one that stands out among the pack is Pinoy0004's Forever's End. Once heralded as one of the best games made for RPGM, does it stand against the test of time?

Patrick's Journey, the RPG made by Monkey Brothers' creator Hedrum, is a traditional RPG with a not-so-traditional story. It is a first attempt at a full game, and it shows. However, much promise and fun is found in this game.

Good news. Despite the arrival of RPG Makers 2 and 3, game designers of the first RPG Maker are still hard at work at producing quality games for that medium. One maker that has not forsaken this old maker is Jerbils, creator of the game Crazy Skating.

Lets face it, most of the RPGs on the market have much in common. Too much. They all seem to want to tell the same old story of the hero who finds love and saves the world. All the while, sightseeing his own world where only a hundred people exist and it takes 5 minutes to cross the globe in a plane that never runs out of gas. Sound familiar? Well, it does to me too. And to the creator of Untraditional!, as evident by this game.

Watch Grass Grow is exactly that. Start the game. Watch grass grow. If it doesn't grow, come back in an hour. If it doesn't grow again, come back in another hour.

As the intro to the game states, "Being lost on this isle, you decide to come into town, disturbing all the peace." Make what you will of that. Maybe you can figure out what is going on, because I sure couldn't.

Knowing this game is a demo I expected it to be short. And I was right. If you have little time and like Demos, this is the game for you. I beat it in 15 minutes and it's one of the best RPG Maker 2 games I've ever played.
