Time to break sequence for the sake of efficiency as it's possible to complete a couple of quests ahead of time without technically learning about them. But, if you're going for the speed run challenge in the PS4 version, it definitely helps.

With Galileo's final invention in our hands, we soon became able to take down both the Magmalice and Firn Fiend for good to restore light to Kol and Galenholm.
