We have known for over a year that our Marching Band is going to perform at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade this year, but we just recieved a phone call from the Macy's chief producer...

We get to be the final band, that leads in Santa! This means we get the LONGEST camera time, and we get to do a special ceremony to welcome "Santa." Every year, only 10 Marching Bands in the U.S. are invited to Macy's, and only one of those can be the "Santa Band" Im so happy!

Look for us on TV!

I just helped our Drum Major write his circle wipe (little speech thing that plays while we are marching on.) Im so excited!

barry sax i do like, i even played barry sax for our instrument switch but generally sax just sounds bad to me. if the player is really good it is not so bad but i always find it too shrill or high pitched or something that is bothersome. and i suppose that could have been a slightly influenced opinion by the fact that most of the sax players in band were either arrogant or stupid and they ALL wanted to play first so we never had any seconds.

14 people. are you including just altos or all of them? cus that would be a lot of altos. we had like 17 last year and they totally overpowered the rest of the band.
