Mad Max is one of the worst movies I have ever seen.

You were just disappointed about the lack of porn. :D

I wanted to suggest Teen Wolf for a future comedy night. If I wait until we discuss it, I'll forget.

Best in Show was aggressively boring to me, but most people seemed to like it. So whatever. Next time, we're gonna do a musical of some type!

I liked it, but I think part of it requires a certain knowledge of exactly hw crazy dog people and stage parents are and realizing how unholy a combination of the two really is. The characters really were exaggerated versions of different types and it made total sense to me that the yuppie couple was driving their dog nuts or the trophy wife wife was doing shows. The part where the terrier's owners ended up sleeping in utility closet made sense to me because a lot of average people who get involve in this stuff wind up in debt because it's ridiculously expensve. I felt like Jane Lynch's character (the lesbian Standard Poodle handler) and the terrier owners were the only ones there who were in it for the dogs.

It focused a lot less on dogs and dog shows than I would have expected.

I get why you were bored, though. It had some moments of sheer genius (the yuppie lady losing it over a dog toy), but it felt like they padded it with a lot of other scenes that weren't that interesting or relevant. I mean, yes, we get it, the terrier lady had sex with people. Let the joke die now. One review compared it a skit show like SNL where scenes were only loosely connected and I think that was the weakness. The great scenes still weren't enough to make the mediocre scenes work.

Also, I think the problem with mockumentary movies or shows is that it's frustrated to watch people be jerks or oblivious from the outside, but when you get their commentary and you hear how self-absorbed and self-aggrandizing they are, it really gets to you. I had that problem with Michael on The Office a lot.

I liked it and I'm glad we watched it, but I don't think I'll rewatch it. I would just watch the really funny clips on Youtube. It does make me want to was This Is Spinal Tap, though. And I'm looking forward to Dream Girls. I don't watch lot of movies, so this is definitely broadening my horizons.

That's a good breakdown, brookiki. You touched on many of the problems that the movie had.

Here's the new movie order that the people have wanted to go with. We'll do this after the current rotation is over:

Action
Horror
Animated
Drama
Comedy
Sci-Fi
Anime
Classic
Wildcard

With an MKV file, you need to download VLC. It's a free player and works wonders.

Dreamgirls turned out to be a good experience overall. Glad I saw it.

Next week, Tron. Never seen it. Hope it's good.

Tron is hard for me to recommend. It's one of those movies that if you aren't in the culture, you aren't likely to enjoy it. Unless you are in the early 80's, stoned, and love black lights. Then you would love it.

I know I've missed the last couple of movies, but I'll probably join in for TRON, since I've always been interested in watching that movie for the first time.

I forgot that game day was today for Magic, and instead of the game shop doing it at 2 like they usually do they're having it at 7 tonight. Which means I probably won't make the movie! Sorry guys!

Tron ended up being interesting. I'm glad I saw it.

Next week, a classic movie: Casablanca!

I won't probably won't be around for movie night for awhile. Through a windows update I got a virus. My browser got high jacked. Not sure whether to get my laptop repaired or just get a new one. Plus I really don't have the funds for either. Luckily I have access to my parent's desktop to keep my sanity. Would a complete system restore fix this? I can't set my homepage and I keep getting pop up ads. My antivirus and any windows malware can't find it. Plus the laptop is 5 years old. Maybe I should just go to a Mac. This is the second time a windows update has messed up my computer. Sorry for the rant just really frustrated.

I'm sorry to hear that, face. Did you do Windows Update through Microsoft's site and this happened?

Yes it was through one of their automatic updates that they do. When I talked to tech support they deny that it could of happened. But it has been the only thing that has updated. So here I sit with my hands tied.

I was testing to see if the media player that came with my new laptop could play this type of file. It does but the movie is not in English. I think it is a problem with the file, I checked and the language on my media player is set for English. I have tried it in two media players and both play it in a foreign language.
