Untitled (Can really think of a good name)

It is said that, many centuries ago, a man consumed by darkness started conquering the land of Koralia. No army could withstand his power, and no other nation wanted to interfere. Everyone feared this man. All hope was lost. But then,
four strangers came. Nobody knows where they came from, but they challenge the man that was rising to power. The darkness in the man was so much that he transformed into the most fearsome creature anyone in Koralia has ever seen. But the strangers were prepared. After a fierce battle, the strangers sealed the evil creature in a magic prison with ancient magic. Koralia was safe. But the creature has vowed he would find a way to return and destroy Koralia for what it did to him. The four new heroes made a pact, whenever the prison begins to weaken, four more strangers will appear and stand up for the incoming menace. They sealed their powers, and only the new heroes would be able to extract those powers from the crystals. There would always be hope in Koralia.
Or at least that’s what the legends says…

The game follows the stoy of Guarionex, a young man writing a book about old legends. For reasons he initially doesn't understand, he is hired to find the daugher of an old famous adventurer, which eventually leads him to the truth behind the legend, the 4 chosen strangers, and hidden marks many habitants possess, that gives them special abilities, besides using of magic. (superhuman strenght, a 6th sense, the ability to locate other marked ones, etc)

Guarionex
His passion is for legends, not adventures, but that passion will lead him to the adventure of his life. Not exactly the best fighter, and seems to space out in his thoughts when other people are talking. I prefers to run when the going gets too though, but if he thinks he has a small chance of success, he might take it.

Viviana
A maid who prefers the art of healing over the art of killing. She lives her life regreting she couldn't save her Master's wife with her healing, yet, he could have saved her using the killing techiniques she was taught as at an assassin's guild.

Treniv
A self called archeologist, who likes to explore ruins. A terrible curse turned him into a chicken, but that hasn't hindered his magical abilities.
A chicken that instead of laying eggs, shoots fire balls and can summon legions of undead flying chickens to the enemy? Treniv is also an overprotective father.

Gina
A ten year old tomboy with the strenght of a strong, grown man. She's also Treniv adoptive daughter. She wants to be a great swordswoman when she grows up, and find out more about her homeplace.

So... what do you guys think?

I know it might sounf cliche with the 4 chosen ones to save the world all over again, but for the record, the playable characters are not them. I'm going to add a little twist to it to (hopefully) make it different.

I'm working on what kinds of attacks will the characters have. I want them to represent what the characters are.
But the legion of undead flying chicken is a must (Blue arrows attack FTW!)

Any suggestion, criticism, or title idea (anything!) would be gladly accepted :D

Okay, you're doing the whole "sealed evil" scenario. Thus, a couple questions.

Do the new heroes destroy the evil, or seal it once more?

If they destroy the evil, how come these new heroes are able to destroy it when the old heroes were only powerful enough to seal it?

That's the problem I have with "sealed evil" plots. It makes much more sense if the new heroes simply seal the evil once more.

Well, yes, it's the "sealed evil" scenario, and no, they do not defeat it. But they don't just seal it the same way it was done so long ago. They'll have to find out what really happened back then, and what was the effect it had on the people of Koralia. Of course, there will be some factor that weren't present back them that may be of help.

Or you just gave me an idea: to have the option to do either one.
Should they take the easier path, and the unnecesarily harder path?
I'll think about that.

Make a nice twist. Like... a FFX kind of thing... the heroes realize that after defeating the evil, THEY must become the new 'evil'. Or something like that. =)

Well, I thought I had a nice twist already. Now I think it might not be so unexpeted, but I'll stick to it. I'm seriously thinking of using the idea of "destroy or seal it back" choice. You could either seal it while it's still weak (easy path) or make a series of sidequest to save a few people here and there, but it'll make you have to defeat the "evil" at it's maximun power (hard path)

The hard path could let you to extra characters, items, speciall skills and other things necessary to be able the "evil" full power.

I just hope I could make all of this in the game. At least a short game with as many extras as I can cram. But I NEED to finish at least one game. (I've been restarting this one too many times already)

PS: Argh! I just noticed I'm nothing without a spellcheck. Sorry if I'm hurting your language :lol
