I do think its odd too, I met alot of people who arn't christians or have a religion. I could care less if they are agnostics or atheists.

I don't care too much about other people's religion, even if I'm told I should. I figure, people are okay if they're not dispicably evil, whether they're Christian or not. Just don't stuff your religion (or lack of) down my throat. Or take away that one phrase found on money, because it obviously doesn't affect your religion (or lack of).

Back to weather, come to think of it, I think the seasons are kinda off lately. We got warm weather late, and we got cold weather late. It seems that way around here at least.

:lol , literally.

So....is anybody still talking about the hole in the O-Zone layer, or have we all forgotten about that?

Asking how we could be so perfectly placed in the universe is like wondering at the changes in the human race that led to the development of tools, the internet, and this forum. its not an act of god, or even some kind of predictable fate, it just happened...
I'm pretty sure we figured that stuff out on our own.

You'd think everything happens for rhyme and reason, but if you look at the areas some people inhabit, sh*t happens.

It's a crude outlook, but a natural disaster can strike anywhere, some places more than others.

I believe what is beyond and how the world will end is beyond human comprehension.

I'm personally agnostic. I dislike religious groups who choose to believe one aspect of science, and not another. And I think FFX helped me to see my views even more. I'm not a fan of organized religion- bloodshed, causing unhappiness for gay couples who want to wed, forcing religion down your throat, confining to some phrases of the order that are good for them, but not all of it. That crap.

meh, i am not a christian either, was born into it but that kind of just ... died. i have a friend who seems to be very worried about me sometimes and really tries to shove her belief down my throat. gets kind of annoying sometimes but it is not the end of the world. i realy hate it when people do that though. just because they believe in something doesn't mean everyone else has to.

back to future theories - has anyone but me read the C.S. Lewis Triology about space kind of stuff, it starts with Out of the Silent Planet, continues with Perelandra, and ends with ...that third book that i forget the name of... i really quite like the theories in there. Regal's post on the last page made me think of it because in that there is an understanding that all civilizations come to an end eventually because that is the cycle of life kind of thing right? like a person is created, born, lives, gets old, then dies right? so is the same with planets and stars and thus the same with civilizations - eventually the planet will start to die and not be able to sustain life and we will die out and in the book this evil guy wanted to take over another planet so that humanity could move there and survive because earth was a fallen planet - in kind of brings elements of the bible in with that - either way they are really good books and you all should read them.
