@Wargolth - You smack the stunned guard across the back with the flat of your blade and immediately go into a defensive counter stance. The guard rises angrily. He rushes towards you swinging his spear, but right before he connects he appears behind you, sweeping towards you legs. Looks like take a counter stance isn't gonna help you here.

@Jerod - You swipe at the guards back, and it dissipates, Gj is looks like it was an image.

@Gnasher - The guards slows for a moment, waiting to see how your companions react. As they continue to fight their battles he grins and you and waves his hand forward. "You were right he says." Rays shoot from hands and streak towards you, Jerod, and Wargolth.

@Sk - You swing your blade forward and.....connect! The guard clearly expected you to fold in fear after his last assault. Guess you proved otherwise to him. As he picks himself up off the ground he grimaces at you and slightly bows his head. Then he lunges forward thrusting his spear at you.

@The Only - As you see the guard dissipate from Jerod's attack you feel a boot in the small of your back right before a kick shoves you forward. "That's a little payback for earlier. You're not the only person that can kick people around." The guard smiles toward you and Jerod.

Looks like the battles almost finished, but it looks like they're getting more serious. Focus fire and take them down before anything gets out of hand!

*Ende becomes reluctant to use team work.*

"This senseless fighting ends here." He points his hand towards a guard, after a few moments a puzzled look comes acrossed his face. "Why can't I use my powers? This would normally lay waste to them...." His former powers seemed to have been lost. Ende never had to use weapons before. His powers were always more than enough. He forces his minion to grab one of the guards tight, as he attempts to spear them both.

"What? These guards have wings? Impossible...". Illya then transformed Riblam back to the sword Belderiver. "Oh, sword of darkness come upon me, shift this back bow into it's original form!". Riblam transformed back into the Belderiver. Illya then sprouted her wings and do a gliding attack torwards the guard that was flying upwards.

As Illya attacks the gaurd from head on, I'll jump in the air fo a sneak attack on it's stomach.

Kayn was still farther out than the rest of the party. Though he was reluctant, he was going to join the fray. He took a few long strides to get momentum and flipped over Williams head and landed perfectly on his feet. While in the air, Kyan's hood fell from it's normal resting place on top of Kayn's head and now hung at his neck. His white hair now floating freely down his shoulder. Using the momentum he continued to dash towards the enemy William just damaged.

Kayn dashed pased the guard trying to bury his blade into the guard's side.

I guesse this guard wants to fight hand to hand. I run towards the guard who kicked me and go for a punch to the face.

@Ende - Your minion jumps the guard shooting magic, but not before he gets the spell off. Your minion wraps his arms around the guard and right before you pierce them both, the guard grimaces at you and says, "Meh, looks like I got caught. Nice job, Aesir. Looks like you got a little bite in you after all."

Ende's Minion HP - 1/9 ----- The spear going through the other guard must have stopped the blow from being critical. The guard appears to no longer be affected by Ende's spell. Perhaps Ende wounding his minions breaks the control? The guard is almost out, but he has the look of a wounded animal. Be careful!


@Illya - As you launch your assault the guard laughs towards you and runs his hands across his spear. As he does the spear transforms in a sword identical to the Belderiver! The two of you clash midair, blades locking in a flurry of feathers ( )
The guard grins, "Suitable enough for a valkyrie. You'll do nicely as long as you get no fool notions in your head. Btw, looks like one of your friends is coming to help you."

@Lerod - You launch into the air aiming a strike at the flying guards midsection. Before you connect you see the guard look back and smile at you, but he makes no move to avoid the blow. You connect! And the guard falls the to floor, landing, just barely, on his feet. But as you begin to fall to the floor and beam of magic hits you in the back!

@Kayn - The guard is taken by surprised! His spear is already outstretched towards William as you speed by it. There's no way for him to block! As you slide past him your blade connects....and grinds into hard stone! When you look back the guard is standing with a wound bleeding from his side... it's exactly where you connected with a blow that should have sent the man to his knees. He doesn't seem please and lashes out at you with his spear, thrusting wildly!

@Leon - Your speed is blinding! Your fist connect straight into the guards face, right into the opening of his helm! He's knocked backward, staggering and you can hear him cursing under his helmet.

I'll attack Ende's minion!

Kayn, expecting the attack to William's target to fall right then and there, was a bit taken back. And in the possition he was standing, he couldn't propperly parry the onslaught of blows heading his way. Tapping into his 500 years of knowledge, he outstretched his hand and tried his best to summon an aura infront of him to act as a shield. And even still as the attacks flew, Kayn narrowed his eyes on William over the raged guard's shoulder.

William thought he had at least managed to strike the guard unconscious (after all, the armor he was wearing didn't appear that thick), but no sooner had he turned away to see if the winged girl he had seen being blinded by magic earlier was okay than he looked sideways to again see someone trying to attack him in the back; that same guard was already back on his feet and hurling a spear straight towards William's frightened face. Unable to move out of the way fast enough because of his injury, the elf thought it was over for him right then and there, but suddenly someone else leaped in front of him, obviously intent on fighting the guard on William's behalf.

Slowly backing off, William studied the person who had intervened and saved him from the oncoming spear for just a quick moment. ... It looked like one of the other seven heroes was, of all creatures, a dark elf. William didn't understand why someone of that race would help him, but he didn't dwell on it.

It was at this point that William thought he saw one of the other heroes - he had managed to pull a name directed at this person out of all of the shouting going on around him; "Jerod" - being magicked in the back by another guard. The pain from the blast must have been excruciating. William didn't see how this Jerod would be able to fight any more after taking a hit like that, if he could even survive it. So, the instinct to protect an injured friend welling up within his mind once more, William took his sword and charged at the guard who'd cast the spell with all of his might, his eyes focusing on just the one area of the guard's armor he was intent on piercing with the Northern Longblade.

Ende says under his breath, "How could that guard know of my identity?" He then looks in the direction of the king. Truely this man must be wise to know of this. There is no way the guard could have known without being told. Rather impressive, seeing as I haven't been home for so many years.

*The king earns Ende's respect.*

"Kayn, I shalt assist you, for now." Ende charges at the guard attacking Kayn, hoping to drive the spear into the guard. His lack of combat experience was definitely visable by his lack of control over his own spear.

Bael tries to dodge the ray cleanly without wasting energy.

"Fight together, you fools," he mutters to the party.
Bael then stares at the guard who cast the rays. "Cowards," he says with disdain, "you will not win."
Bael then screams, "TEAM UP!"
With his heightened battle senses, Bael notices how one of the combatants was hurrying to help another one. Bael smiles at the guard before him. "I told you."
He turns beside Ende and slashes his halberd at the neck of the guard who Kayn wounded. Hopefully the combined attacks are enough to take the guard down.

@Wargolth - The guard doesn't even have to look your way. A magic bolt speeds through the air and strikes you in the chest, knocking you to the ground.

Wargolth HP - 1/7! Wargolth is critically injured! Can anyone help him?


@Ende, Kayn, Bael, and William - The guard sees Ende's and Bael's incoming attacks and halts his assault on Kayn.....AND STEPS INTO YOUR ATTACKS!

Right before your assault collides with his body, he turns to stone! Your weapons are lodged in his body and you see his stony eyes open and his mouth tilts with a harsh grin. "Third strikes the charm. EARTH EXPLOSION!"

The stone around the guard shatters and burst outward, catching Kayn, Ende, and Bael in the explosion and hurling them away. William, running by to aid an ally is caught slightly by the explosion and shoved into a pillar.

"Gahh! Do you have any idea how much that stings!" The guard might have stopped your attacks from finishing him by turning to stone but it's clear they penetrated a little. He seems worn out. I don't think you have to expect another thing like that from him.

Cutting it close guys! I think it's time to pull out the stops....if there are any stops left to pull out.

Arrgh, I wish I could use my ability, but we can't kill. My special trait is Killing.

After being knocked over by the explosion, Bael gets up hastily grabbing his halberd on the way. He surveys the area and quickly analyzes the situation. The battle seemed almost over... but it ain't over 'til it's over!

"Fighters! Form a protective circle around the wounded!" Bael says a he shifts to cover Wargolth and William from possible attacks.
"You realize not that if we don't stand together, we will fall?!"

I think he's right! Wargolth, get behind me! Gnasher, back me up! I charge as fast as I can, picking up as much momentum as I can, so that I can lay as critical a blow as I possibly can, and try to uppercut along his back.

{.... Who exactly are you attacking Linkman? Sorry your post was kind of vague. You used a pronoun and only had Gnasher and DP in the paragraph so it seemed like an attack was directed to one of them . Pick on of the guards from the post above if you wish to attack. I listed out what they're doing so you could finish them off.}

Oops! I ment to put in I went for the gaurd that shot the beam at me. Sorry for the confusion!

"Huh...puff.. I'm not sure if I can take on another head on attack. Dammit all, have I really become this weak? Could this be Odin's doing?! No point in this... I shalt attack from a distance." Ende flips behind his former minion, in an attempt to finish him off and to prepare for long distance attacks.
