Ix and I debated over if our race videos is a show or not:

I side with Ixz. A 'show" isn't defined by meeting certain criteria, which, by the way, your criteria for what a show is only covers a miniscule amount of content that most would consider a show, a show is simply just any sort of visual or audial media for the purpose of entertainment.

A show doesn't have to be a scripted event, like Ixz said, improv shows are exactly that, shows. No editing, no scripting, no storyline, usually just a group of friends having fun together.

As for the issue that that argument started over. Consider any other Youtube content that you watch frequently. Wouldn't it suck if a let's player you like suddenly stopped making videos with seemingly no explanation? No final video to explain the situation?

i.e. if you can consider something like Game Grumps a show (which it is), then the race channel is also a show.

I would consider Dray's LPs more of a show since he actually denotes things by episodes and season. It has the formatting of a show at least... which is more than the races.

Yeah, but format, like content, does not denote a show. You are associating the word too closely to the television context.

Edit: Besides, episode and season numbers are arbitrary. If I take the race videos, and slap a season and episode number on each video, does it suddenly become a show under your definition?

I guess then I don't understand the line between what's a show and what isn't. Like, for example, a youtube channel I like to watch that uploads just a bunch of chiptune and songs used in keygens. Is that a show too?

It's just, I don't know. I feel like a legitimate show is more self aware. It has some branding to go along side it as well as some sort of show-like formatting. I guess I just feel that the races are a bit too informal to be considered a show. I mean, I can just as easily be wrong... but it's just how it feels.

I take it as, if someone is actively performing something for the purpose of entertainment, then it's a show. So LPs are shows, as well as your race videos. That Youtube channel that uploads chiptunes I wouldn't consider a show, unless it was a person performing them in some way.

Does it really matter? If you have followers that watch it, then it might be nice to do one last video even if it'still to thank those viewers. At least if everyone's up for it.
Doesn't have to be something flashy. It doesn't have to be a final Let's Race. Just... let people know.

Broadly speaking, it's a show - you're performing, like Myoky stated. Technically speaking, it's a another form of Lets Plays called "Let''s Race".

I think my deal was that you have to present it as a show to be a show. I see it as something we might do even off camera just for fun. Just because it's actually captured shouldn't automatically make it a show without some kind of acknowledgement or show-like formatting.

It's like looking at a piece of board and saying it's a snowboard. I mean, technically it COULD be. Doesn't mean it is. Specially since there are other things that are actually designed to be snowboards.

But anyways, if there ever is a time where we aren't going to be doing this anymore, if everyone wanted to do one last hurrah, that's cool. I just don't see people wanting to do one more if they... you know... don't want to do anymore. And I can't really blame them for it.

Lantis's races are not a show. They're just videos of a group of friends doing speed runs together, that we happen to be sharing with the internet.

And since my videos were brought up, I don't consider my let's plays a show. I mean I tried to make a show out of let's playing, but it didn't work out. My credits and episode titles are mainly just remnants of that attempt, and the "seasons" thing is just to help separate my old LPs from my new ones. Take those away, and there's really no difference between my let's plays and others'.

Also, I do not consider Game Grumps a show.
