I started playing this game, and have 2 small observastions:
1) During the game's introduction, when we are introduced to Dusk at College, at a certain point in the cutscene the letter "h" appears right on top of the character, making it a bit difficult to read
2) At the Crib, the guys order pizza. But how do they call the pizza place without walking to the phone? Does this world actually has mobile phones? Not explained very well...

The world during the prologue is modern day Earth, yes they have cellphones.

Ok, I can accept that. I would have used a regular phone to order pizza thought :P

Duh, of course they do.
And in RM1, they exist even in mid-evil times :P

I'd say flattered. If we didn't care these would be ignored. :P

Again, guys. Thanks for pointing out the typos you've found. I'm still collecting them all in a document to update the game in a patch. I kind of want to wait till at least someone has finished the game before I make the changes and push out the patch. You know, to keep from updating it every other week.

I'll be sure to add a section in the end-game credits for you guys, if you want.

Well, I don't expect to actually finish the game, but I will continue playing it when I have time for it, and let you know if I find any typos/bugs :)

After Sam's Grandfather falls asleep after our conversation, I can talk to him from the left side, and he says "Zzzzz", but if I walk behind the bed and try talking to him from the right side, he says nothing

Try to keep the bug reports to actual bugs or typos. Using cell phones over phones, the text visibility, and characters talking from one direction over the other aren't bugs.

I'm sorry. But the moment with the cell phone kind of confused me when it happened, and the bed seemed like a bug to me, as it didn't make much sense to me why it's programmed like that...

Ok, I'll try not to make any more useless posts here, I promice.

The reason that one line of Z's on that NPC is talkable from only one side is I don't like the way a sleeping sprite will turn around when checked.  As such, I made him only talkable to on the one side.  The assumption was that he's sleeping on his side that you can talk to him on.

I do thank you for looking into the game so deeply.  But if you could manage a little less OCD about it, that would be appreciated.  I never thought I'd have to go into such an explanation over a sleeping NPC.

This game plays great! Balanced battles, and involved story too.

If people haven't downloaded and played this game, they should!

And, I guess that copy of RPG Maker destroyed in the video wasn't the only one you had.

I'm on the second scenario card (I'm slow at RPGs) but so far so good!

I haven't seen any more bugs. Well, I've seen 'acquaintance' misspelled, but I didn't remember to note down where. It was either
in the scene with Reith in Itski or talking with the dwarf and Tasera, both on Scenario 1.
That's all of note so far.

Also
how DARE you reset switch/lily pad progress in the northeastern cavern when you leave the area! :P

I appreciate your interest thus far, Revelle. No worries on moving slow; I am glad you are politely pointing out mistakes. One, the fact that you notice misspellings indicates to me that you are taking some measure of interest in the text, and two, well, yeah, I'd like to see them now so i can correct them later whenever a patch is in the works. :)

And my thanks also to Shawn's enthusiastic compliments. :D

This game looks great! I have RPG Maker 1 for the PS1, but I couldn't figure anything out, so I just played the sample game Gobli's Adventure a lot. (And messed around with the sprites' coloration.)

Lantis and Sarah's Knight,

I just wanted to say congratulations on your completion of this game you have been working on for so long!

Since the new Indie Game Maker contest is coming up, my progress in this game will be even slower than usual. So I might as well give my impressions so far.

I've actually been pretty quiet about what I think about the storyline of this game, but that is mostly because there just isn't that much to say. That doesn't mean it is bad or anything- frankly the story is just fine but I haven't been wowed by anything yet. :D

The true meat of the experience thus far (I'm in the... fourth or fifth scenario card now?) is the gameplay. I know you guys spent a long time trying to balance out the gameplay of the DBS. It shows, so I think you succeeded spectacularly.

I'll try to give more frequent updates in the future, but I hope others with more time will give their opinions on this game. It deserves more attention! :)

Thanks, Pagerron. :)

Thanks for keeping up, nonetheless, Revelle. I'm especially glad that you recognize and appreciate our (sincerely attempted) work on the battle system.
