Hey all. I just wanted to spread the word that the dedicated youtube channel and forums for the Classic Gaming Grand Prix are up and running. Inspired by elements from the Mag, SLPH, Ultimate Gaming Grand Prix, and other racing groups, it's designed to be a casual, open-invitation group for anyone interested in joining a race.

Ideally everyone in a group would get together and record all at once, but Sinisterkun proposed a backup plan to allow people to record 30-60 minute chunks individually, allow the editor to put them together, and volunteers would post-commentate. That portion is still in the experimental phase but also has potential for those who are interested.

GP2 is currently halfway done with GPs 3 and 4 being recorded. I'll continue to add videos I've edited as LPsodes on the Mag site.

For now, here is the official channel trailer:

Other resources include the CGGP Forums and Twitter: @ClassicGamingGP

Let's get together and play some games!

While the normal races are still going on, today was the day we uploaded our first Time Trial video. The Time Trials are quick challenges for people who are interested in participating but may not have time/availability to record with everyone else.

This first one was simple: Get as far as you can in Super Mario Bros in 5 minutes (best viewed in 1080p to make text readable).
