So, I have a question. If you utilize the character sheet of RM1 to include only items in each frame, how can you input those item in-game? I'm having problems with frames not covered with 'up','dowm','left' and 'right' so I'm asking if you've done something similar before.

It would work, but you would have to work with the map grid.

If you look at the way your character moves in RM, you could have up to 9 items, based on how the character model would move on the grid.

Yep, when I did this I would have the screen black and then move the events and restore the screen when they were in place.

Having the Character not walk in place will make them stay in their set frame.
So, you would have to move them to the correct positions.
Also, keep in mind, Characters will face the hero when he walks to them. So you might want to make them immedietly turn back in the direction they started in,

oh, or I could just rather not let the event interact with him at all, unless there's a condition.

Think of the Sprite facing Up, Down, Left, Right as the first frame.
Move the Sprite 1 space in the desired direction and it will be frame 2.
Important: The next movement will revert to frame 1 (Up, Down, Left, Right).
Now when it moves, it will be Frame 3.

It's been a while, but I think it goes like this with the Sprite sheet:

2 | 1 | 3
------------
2 | 1 | 3
------------
2 | 1 | 3

Movement = Frame 1, 2, 1, 3

The reason is because the "walking" animation always repeats the middle frame.

How this works if you want the Event to be on a different frame:

Make an Intro Event and have it darken the screen, then take over the Event.

Have the Event move 1 or 3 spaces in the desired direction for the correct frame.

Now restore the screen to normal.

Important: If the player interacts with the Event, it will change direction.

To prevent this, make sure the Event cannot activate.

Thanks Shawn, this is quite the info I needed, i didn't noticed the system repeating the middle frame so this really makes sense why I can't achieve what I desire.
