Yeah, thanks for the well wishes. We're really glad to have finally finished.

That said, we're beginning to work on the first patch to the game. I've taken all the important issues and spelling errors that have been mentioned in this thread and have compiled them in a google doc. We want to catch the glaring issues before Dray ends up LPing it... since that will be the most attention the game will see.

It's been really hard since somehow or another, things we've been fixing simply don't seem to save... even though we've made absolute certain that the save process completes fully. Specially that one issue with the in-game trailer not automatically going back to the main menu.

The reason I'm mentioning this is because if anyone is still playing through the game, their input on issues they find would really help in getting this patch nice and proper.

I'm really wondering how the save issue is (not) working. If it doesn't accept the recent changes, what if you stacked the changes? Like made some changes, saved, made more changes, saved. And then at the end, make fake changes and save those so the real changes save. If you have a spare memory card, maybe alternate which card you save to each time.

The only thing I haven't tried was alternating between cards. And even if that does let me permanently fix everything, it doesn't explain why this is happening. When we played Arc Arath while the others were bowling at magcon, I was noticing other things that were missing too. I was talking to SK about it on the way home from magcon, he was legit mad.

One of the last changes I made was giving the player a few items to start off with when you start a new game (just a few healing items and a few items to turn off random encounters for a bit). That, too, was somehow undone at some point. So I assume that a LOT of the spelling mistakes we've fixed have probably undone at some point or another as well.

I really wish I knew when this started happening. Because it hasn't affected major events, dungeons, or cutscenes. So it had to have happened after we started playing the game repeatedly when test playing. It's RPG Maker's last attempt to screw us over. It's been an asshole until the bitter end.

Just thought I'd jump in here and let you guys know what SK and I have pushed out the first patch to Arc Arath.

1.1 Patch notes:
-Starting items added to the game to make the beginning easier.
-The in-game trailer now automatically takes you back to the main menu instead of having to manually activate it.
-General spelling and grammar corrections to both the offline site and the game.

Unfortunately, this is all that we could find along with the help of AliciaAlice and MRevelle83. No one's yet to really play through the game, but we knocked out what was found.

Also, I made sure the changes took. If you've read the past few posts, I've gone into detail about how changes don't seem to take. Normally, the process goes:

-Load game
-Make changes
-Test changes
-Save changes
-Backup card with dex drive
-Upload game

This, for some reason, wouldn't work on a lot of problems we fixed. It's as if the save changes just sometimes doesn't take. So this time around, I added a few steps to it:

-Load game
-Make changes
-Test changes
-Save changes
-Save changes again
-Save changes one more time
-Backup card with dex drive
-Format memory card
-Restore recently triple-saved data to card
-Load game again
-Test changes again
-Upload game

Anyways, if you haven't, give the game a try. Click the download button in my sig.

Thanks, man. Despite the lack of interest in the game, SK and I are just super glad to have finished it. You know, it's like a weight has been lifted off our shoulders...

Might sound melodramatic, but we for real are just glad to have it all behind us. Glad to hear from you again, btw.

Just to be clear, my slowness in completing this game is more lack of free time than lack of interest. Also MGSV.

Hey, it's cool, MRev. I'm just happy to have you still wanting to play. Besides, I'd rather see Survival worked on first, anyway. Now you get it done, boy! *cracks the whip* :D

A week and a half ago was Arc Arath's first year anniversary for it's release.

I just wanted to thank everyone who's taken the time to play it.

Made it to Leylia cave last night. Tried to find the secret exit. Dropped off of multiple lily pads. Assumed my health was dropping but didn't bother to check. Did this about 4 times. Got into a fight and got absolutely slaughtered. Game over. 10/10.

Well, congrats. You've made it farther than anyone else has.

Falling into the water does deal a little bit of damage. And unfortunately, it moves location to where you appear, so any Ward Spheres used are reset... again, on of RPG Maker 1's lovely limitations.

For future reference, if something happens in a dungeon that looks like it might have dealt damage to the party, it more than likely dealt damage to the party.
