Well prepping for Hershey Bar's Grand Adventure I came across some old maps I had done with rpgm3. I really like these maps and decided to finish them out and if I like what I see I might post them for people to explore and give me some feedback.

Here are some pics of what I have so far. Enjoy!

I agree. I especially like the first one. I love RPGM3 maps. I always think that I've seen it all and then every person who posts their pics or their games has a different take on how to create a look with them.

Thanks guys! Right now there isn't a story linking the maps. I have added some events to spice the maps up and to keep the player interested. I almost have the inside of the haunted castle done. Just need to make one more event for that section. Other maps that I plan to add to the pack are, witche's hut, large farm, Sacred Temple, forrest, hot springs, and maybe one or two more field maps.

Thanks Ix. I just finished the boss fight for the haunted castle. I'm still unsure if I want to have random battles or not. It is still hard for me to get the balance right. Even more so when I have a group of characters in the party.

Some more pics.

Characters

Image
This is Alessa. To spice up the character I decided to give her a sword. I don't see why a Sorceress has to wield a staff.

Image
The second party member is Lunar. He is and elf who is of course an Archer :p. Cliche I know.

Image
Image
Looks like Lunar is in serious trouble.

Haunted Castle Inside

Image
The royal dinning room.

Image
The entrance to the Throne Room.

Image
Some how I don't think I would be talking to this King.

Was planning to have more done on the pack, but I had a minor set back. I accidently copied the old data from my memory card to my ps3. :p Good thing I back it up everytime I finish working on the pack.

Yay, character weapon glitch!

Too bad it has to be a permanent weapon.

Just a little update. I have completed the Witch's Hut, Cave Passage, and a Wilderness Mountian field map. Soon I'll be working on a Bandit Hideout and Treasure Vault.

Here are some more pictures as promised.

Haunted Town

Image
It looks like something terrible happened in this dungeon.

Image
The sky at night looks very scarey. Almost like the end of the world. :paranoid

Image
Ohhh look a treasure trove!

Wilderness Moutain Map

Image
I wonder what is in that cave on that island.

Image
Just another view of the island.

Image
Look it is an island that has a lot of moutains on it.

I'm very pleased with how the rest of the wilderness moutain field map came out. So pleased in fact that if you want to see it you need to play the demo :P

I rather like that island with the cave on it.

And that night sky in the haunted town is pretty interesting, too. :)

Still enjoying all the pics.

Alessa looks like a nun with a dark sword. Fun!

Well have started on the dry river bed map. Got part of the main route done, two off shoots, and a dry lake bed. For the most part the player runs inside of the dry river bed. There is one section where they can move up and out of the river bed. But there isn't going to be much to see up there.

A quick question. In the description section in the editors do you guys want suggestions as to what the areas can be used for? For examply why the player might want to go in the river bed or what other areas they could be?

Is there any particular type of field map, town or dungeon you guys would like to be done?

This is the start to the dry river bed map. It took me 3 days to get the elevations to look good and then to get the colors correct.

Image
A small pocket of water that supports some grasses and a very large flower. I really wanted to put a frog in the center of the small pond.

Image
A small bridge that collasped after the river dried up. Not the best looking bridge but it does the job I think. :P

Image
A nest with a little baby egg in it. Not sure what will hatch out of it.

Image
This is what the top part of the map looks like. Athough this map does not have any towns or dungeons. Everything is just decorations. I might go back and add some battles but I'm not too sure about that.

Image
A another small pond that supports pine trees and has a pretty rainbow.

Image
Just another view of the pond with the player standing in the shadows.

Image
Two lady statues standing on an edge of a pier.

Image
Looks like an ancient people built statues into the mountain side.

Image
An old Sea Side Temple. That the beach is retaking.

Image
Look we found buried treasure!

Image
A quiet Sea Side Town.

Image
A look of the beach from the mountiain trail. Not too sure on how well the beach looks. It was the first one I have made. I tried to put some elevations changes in there so it wasn't a boring flat beach.

Image
A look up at the mountain trial to the Maze of Death.

Image
The Maze of Death. Wonder why the Ancients built this place.

Image
The Maze of Death, where people go in but they never return. Just ask the stautes the reside in there.

Those are pretty cool, face. I especially like the statues half-buried in sand (the sea-side temple).

Is it possible to climb up the walls of the river bed, or do you have to find a slope that leads you out?

I randomly tested the sides. From what I have tried you are unable to climb out without finding the one section that slopes to the upper level.
