Yeah, I sorta forgot to turn off the camera's info display when I recorded that.

Okay, so this is now serving as the index for all my Let's Plays, since it's become a big hassle to update the description of every video individually and browsing all my LPs manually is an inconvenience. I know I could use YouTube, but I prefer Viddler, as you get to watch each video in one sitting rather than having to watch them in pieces, plus the option to leave comments directly at the part of the video they're relevant to is just awesome.

Discussion of RPGM LPs can of course be in this topic if you'd rather not (or can not) add your comments to the video pages, and I've provided links to LP discussions for non-RPGM games.

(Those not knowing, a "Let's Play" is essentially a video commentary of a game, played either with prior knowledge of what to do or done in a "blind run". In most cases, I'm doing blind runs.)

Man, I would ask if you could make a video for me, but my game is in the .PSV format. Congrats on the new card though.

Not really a card, but another USB device. (Did I say card? Oops, if I did.) And thankfully, while there is a slight bit of delay, it's nothing really that critical, and certainly nothing that's gonna be a problem when playing an RPG Maker game.

Dray, I gotta be honest here.

Well the disk wasn't going to be helping me much, so why not?

I absolutely love the idea Dray. I will eventually be doing the same. I'll probably only be doing RM1 though as I have nothing that can really record my TV screen. But yeah, I enjoyed this.

And heh, I love how the priest cheerfully greets Akira, the guy who makes no effort to hide the fact that he works as a mercenary assassin.
The video is kind of blurry, the guy in the throne room isn't a ninja with sunglasses, is it? (I hope it is.)

Yeah, RPGM3's controls are pretty bad. Hold Triangle to run, hold R1 to turn faster than molassas. And apparently, you can't go in reverse.

The video is a bit blurry, can't be helped. But at least most of the text is readable.

Windows Movie Maker. It's good enough for what I'm doing.

Thig is, I'm getting really tired of all the BS that Sony Vegas is putting me through, so I'm going to give Movie Maker 2.6 (I think) a go. So yeah, thanks.

Great vid, Dray. I like the part about "did I just get 0 XP?".

I like how you're doing things offscreen, but honestly, I personally think you could do more. Inventory and shop-browsing and gigantic slow-moving dialogs are boring, for instance. Actually, there's not much worth showing in motion in most RPGs. Screenshot-format, I think, would be better. With the occasional video for things like boss battles and the like.
Of course, you can go ahead and continue doing what you're doing. =P

Also please tell me Hebi is referring to an obscure Chinese prefecture or an obscure type of swordfish. Because if it isn't, then it's a Naruto reference and oh god we can't be having none of that.

Heh, I love how enemies in RPGM3 die Power Rangers- style. They get hit, then they relax a little, then 'hit!' pops up, then they lay back for some time, then the damage pops up, then they chill for a lil' bit and then they suddenly throw themselves backward, falling dramatically.

Yeah, the battle system for RPGM3 is so slow because of it. Definately a contributor to how not that entertaining RPGM3 battles are.

And I actually would edit out more, if I stopped talking while I was doing stuff.

Yeah, I will say that RM3's battle system is too slow. It's even worse when your character has a shizzy hit rate. Seeing miss on an attack makes you want to cry, for real.

Time to go into the first dungeon.

after you watch 74 minutes of video it conks out and tells you to wait an hour before watching more - crap system.
